About Us

Initially founded in 1967.

Vuyo’s Funeral Services, is a Soweto based funeral service and policy provider built on a foundation of caring and a rich heritage. Since then the business has evolved into more than a funeral business. It was the first funeral services business to conduct a burial in Avalon Cemetery, one of the country’s largest cemeteries, when it opened in 1972. It also had the sad task of organising and conducting the funeral of the first youth activist killed in the Soweto Uprising of 1976, Hector Pieterson. Since then the business has evolved into more than a funeral business.
